Charter terms
We would like to make it crystal clear about the yacht charter terms, rates, contract and conditions of payment when booking a yacht or gulet charter holiday in Turkey.
Charter Rates
Mainly, we have three types of charter terms in Turkey:
First, charter rates generally based on Turkish terms for gulet charter in Turkish Riviera (Southern Turkey)
Second, charter rates usually based on MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) terms for motor yachts all around Turkey.
Third, If you wish to charter a yacht for Bosphorus cruise or Prince Islands in Istanbul. We can provide luxury yacht for daily cruise or 2-4 hours specific yacht rentals for day time – night time.
Turkish Charter Terms
The charter rates based on Turkish terms include:
- Charter of the yacht with all its equipment in working order
- Fuel up to 4 hours cruising per day. Some boats don’t have any limitation
- Harbour taxes and mooring expenses in Turkish waters
- Crew wages, insurances, uniforms
- Deck, galleys, cabins, stores, tools, cleaning materials and engine room equipments
- Ship’s water , laundry of ship’s linen,
- Insurance of the yacht for marine risk and third party claims
These charter rates do not include:
- Food and beverages
- Airport transfers
- Crew gratuities
- Fuel cost of watersport toys
- Harbour taxes and mooring fees in Greek waters
- Land excursions
- VAT and other taxes
MYBA Charter Terms
The charter rates based on MYBA terms include:
- Charter of the yacht with all its equipment in working order
- Deck, galleys, cabins, stores, tools, cleaning materials and engine room equipments
- Laundry of ship's linen
- Crew wages, insurances, uniforms
- Insurance of the yacht for marine risk and third party claims
All other expenses will be charged in addition to the charter rate. For example:
- Fuel, harbor and mooring costs
- Food and beverages
- On-board communication fees
- Airport transfers
- Fuel cost of watersport toys
- Land excursions
- Crew gratuities
- VAT and other taxes
Charter agreement
When you have determined to continue the booking, we will issue you with charter agreement. Turkey Yacht Charter will mention as the charter agent in this agreement.
Condition of payment
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking when sign the charter agreement. This will act as a deposit and the balance can be paid in cash when you embark.
If the yacht is booked under MYBA terms, you must make an additional advanced payment for fuel and provisioning along with the second installment.
The amount varies from yacht to yacht. When the charter is completed, the Captain will provide a final, itemised statement of account showing if a refund or any further cash payments are due.

YACHT BOOKING
Private Yacht Charters
Deposit and payment
To confirm the reservation, 50% of the total charter price is needed, this will act as a deposit and the balance can be paid in cash when you embark. This will be paid to our Armada Yachting Official who will be present when you embark the boat.
Cancellations and Refunds
For full refund of charter fee, notice of cancellation must be in writing and received by ArmadaYachting no later than ninety (90) days prior to sailing.
If a cancellation occurs, the following charges will apply:
* 90 days prior to your departure: 15% of the deposit will be funded as an administration fee; the rest of the deposit will be refunded.
* Less than 89-60 days prior to departure: 35% of the deposit will be funded as an administration fee; the rest of the deposit will be refunded.
*Less than 59 days prior to your departure, the deposit will not be refunded.
Cabin Charter
Deposit and Payment
To secure your reservation, a deposit of 25 % of the charter fee per person is required within seven (7) days of booking. Final payment is required 60 days prior to departure. All payments may be made by Visa, Master Card, or American Express or by money transfer. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date.
Cancellations and Refunds
For full refund of charter fee, notice of cancellation must be in writing and received by Armada Yachting no later than 60 days prior to sailing. If a cancellation occurs, the following charges will apply:
*60-31 days prior to departure: 25% of cruise fare
*30-16 days prior to departure: 50% of cruise fare
*15 days or less prior to departure: No refund
Refunds will normally be made to the booking party. Armada Yachting can only be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. No refunds will be made to passengers who do not board the boat or passengers who cancel after the start of the cruise. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Boats and Substations
Armada Yachting may operate the cruise program with another boat as long as this boat is of the same or higher standard. Passengers offered a suitable alternative cruise program or boat are not entitled to any refund.
Cruise Interruption
Armada Yachting may for any reason whatsoever cancel any cruise at any time for reasons of force majeure. During the cruise should the boat sustain any breakdown in machinery, or be disabled by fire, grounding or collision disrupting the cruise itinerary for more than 48 hours, and if no substitute boat or arrangement is offered, passengers will be entitled to a refund proportional to the cruise days not operated. No further claims will be accepted.
It is further recognized that Armada Yachting is a Turkish Company, and it is agreed between Armada Yachting and contractual party that the interpretation of the terms and conditions will be resolved solely according to the Turkish Laws in Turkish Courts.
Responsibilities
Armada Yachting is responsible for making all the arrangements for everything specified in the services and itineraries.
Armada Yachting liability and responsibility does not extend beyond the boat; any arrangements made by or for passengers either before boarding or when disembarking are at the passenger's own risk. Armada Yachting does not own or control any ground transportation or hotels. As a convenience to our passengers, Armada Yachting may sell tickets for land excursions or arrange other services which are operated by independent contractors, but shall not be responsible in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or death arising. Nevertheless, all of the service provided in the boat bears Armada Yachting guarantee and responsibility for quality service, which we provide to all of our customers with.
All travel documents issued by Armada Yachting, in written paraphernalia or to the customer, are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the laws of Turkey.
Armada Yachting preserves the right to cancel the whole tour without a refund, once the capacity of the passengers excess the booking and the capacity of the boat itself.
Insurance
All boats are under fully comprehensive and third party insurances. The insurance covers even the medical expenses in case of injury onboard during the cruise and the cost of personal belongings in case of accidents that may occur while at sea. However, the insurance does not cover the accidents or injuries etc. that may occur beyond the boat, thus we do advise you to have your own personal travel, health, accident, cancellation, luggage and trip-interruption insurance.
Force Majeure:
* We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or expense resulting from war or terrorist activities, threatened or actual, civil unrest, industrial action, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, airport regulations and closure, unforeseen alterations to public transport schedules, rescheduling of aircrafts, boats, or any type of transportation means or any other event outside our control which either delays or extends the holiday arrangements.
* We do not accept any responsibility for any client who contravenes any law or regulation of any of the countries visited while on the tour.
Complaints:
During the tour should any complaints arise on board please report them to your Captain right away so that he can contact the representative of yours whom you met at the briefing at embarkation from Armada Yachting. Any complaints must be made in writing directly to Armada Yachting Head Office Customer Services, which should be received by Armada Yachting within 21 days of completing the tour the complaint is regarding. Complaints that are received by the company 21 days after the end of cruise are not acknowledged. Please also ensure that your personal guest questionnaire is filled and submitted to our colleague. We welcome all your suggestions for improvements as well as your feedback on our cruise operation and on our crew.
Photos and Marketing:
The passenger consents to Armada Yachting using images taken of the passenger during the tour for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. The passenger grants Armada Yachting a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
